This Gary Goodspeed is an alternate version of the main timeline's Gary Goodspeed, first seen in "The First Times They Met". He is from the timeline that Nightfall originally came from.

Appearance[]

He looks just like mainstream Gary, except he doesn't have a robotic left arm.

Background[]

This version of Gary Goodspeed was a pilot of the Infinity Guard (in contrast to mainstream Gary, who only briefly pretended to be one), and good friends with Dr. Bluestein and Derek (who were enemies of the mainstream Gary).

He and Quinn Ergon met outside a bar when they literally bumped into each other, and Quinn asked him for directions. She was immediately impressed by him, and asked him for a drink, which surprised Gary.

The two quickly got into a serious relationship. At some point in their time together, Gary came up with the codename Nightfall for Quinn.[1]

Like in the main timestream, he and Quinn eventually had to close a breach to Final Space with help of an Anti-matter bomb, but in this timeline it was Gary who sacrificed himself to detonate the bomb.

In "The First Times They Met", Nightfall tries to get her Gary back by having the Crimson Light's virtulazium create a holographic double of him. The simulation is too complex however and leaves the entire ship without power. Eventually, Nightfall is forced to end the simulation to save everyone else.
