The Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge are two sets of portals made for the purpose of lightfolding objects and sentient creatures between two different points in time. Created by Kevin Van Newton, the bridge was commissioned by the Infinity Guard, until the project was scrapped for unknown reasons. The Team Squad used it to escape Final Space.
History[]
Background[]
Nineteen years in the past, the Infinity Guard contracted the roboticist Kevin Van Newton to construct a device that was capable of safely lightfolding sentient beings between two points in time. Although Kevin Van Newton was able to construct the first bridge, the bridge technology was eventually scrapped before the construction of the second gate could be completed, and shipped off to London.
Season 3[]
In "The Hidden Light", Kevin Van Newton reveals the existence of the bridge to Gary and Quinn. The two theorize that they could use the bridge to escape Final Space. Kevin Van Newton attempts to warn them of a "wrinkle" that could hinder their escape escape, but he is cut off by the Mutant Land Fish before he could finish. When Gary, Quinn, and H.U.E. departed from Earth to group up with the rest of the Team Squad, Kevin ventured to London to continue the construction of the second bridge.
In "Change is Gonna Come", Kevin is shown constructing the second bridge and looking over several blueprints of what is presumably the completed bridge.
In "Forgiveness", Kevin Van Newton informs the Team Squad that the bride has been completed and tells them to come to Earth.
In "Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge Rising", the Team Squad are successfully able to activate the bridge with the help of Clarence, allowing Tribore, Quatronostro, and all the alien species that have become trapped in Final Space to escape and make it into the main universe. However, the Team Squad all decide to stay behind inside Final Space in order to wipe out the Titans and cripple Invcitus' army.
In "Until the Sky Falls", the Team Squad's plan to activate the KVN NET goes awry as the Lord Commander fuses with the Unborn Titan, destroying Earth along with the KVNs. As a result of the explosion, the Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge is propelled into deep space, making it questionable if the Team Squad will ever find a way to escape Final Space.
In "The Dead Speak", Quinn tells H.U.E. to scan for the location of the Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge. H.U.E. begins scanning multiple locations across Final Space to find the bridge, but he says that there is no guarantee that the bridge is still functioning.
In "The Leaving", the Team Squad are able to locate the bridge with the help of Biskit, and go to reactivate it. During this, it is discovered that the satellites Gary worked on during his prison sentence were actually prototypes for the Hyper-Trans Dimensional Bridge that the Infinity Guard tricked him into working on without his knowledge or consent, allowing him to instruct the rest of the crew on how to wire them properly. When the Team Squad is about to reactivate the bridge and finally escape Final Space, the intake valves suddenly malfunction, resulting in the bridge overcharging and permanently shutting down for good, much to the dismay of the entire Team Squad.
In "The Devil's Den", the bridge is reactived using a thermogenic power core from Nightfall's helmet. The Team Squad escapes through it after Gary, Avocato, and Little Cato return from their encounter with Invictus. The Final Space side of the bridge is destroyed by Invictus as the Team Sqaud finally escapes.
