I am Invictus, and this is my prison. You, my child, will help me escape. [Lord Commander: How?] Find Mooncake. [Lord Commander: You've gotta be kidding me.] The more energy I absorb, the more power I'll have to break free of these chains and consume life across every dimension.
―Invictus

Invictus' Prison was a dimension that was created to trap Invictus' physical form and prevent it from escaping Final Space. After remaining trapped for centuries, Invictus eventually escaped its prison by using Mooncake as the key, resulting in the prison's destruction soon after.

History[]

Background[]

10,000 years before the events of the series, Invictus' physical form was imprisoned within another dimension to prevent it from breaking out of Final Space. Invictus could still access other sections of Final Space via a weaker astral form.

Season 3[]

In "The Ventrexian", Invictus introduces the Lord Commander to its prison, stating that it would make him a Titan under the condition that he captures Mooncake so that it could use his energy to destroy its prison and escape Final Space.

In "All The Moments Lost", the Team Squad are nearly pulled into a black hole that Ash Graven reveals leads directly to Invictus. Ash later flies into the black hole to personally confront Invictus and save her brother, Fox, willingly trapping herself inside of its prison with it.

In "Change is Gonna Come", Ash confronts Invictus within its prison in an attempt to get Fox back. When she confronts it, Invictus claims to Ash that Gary is not the hero she thinks he is, and that he has killed Fox in countless timelines, and joining it is the only way she can save her brother in the current timeline. Invictus then transforms Ash into her "full self", giving her a second eye and an older appearance, and then gives Ash a decision; stay with Gary and let Fox die, or join it in its goal to destroy the universe and rebuild it. It then sends her out of its prison, giving her three days to decide.

In "The Devil's Den", Invictus' prison is destroyed when Ash absorbs Mooncake's powers and transfers them to Invictus, allowing it to break free from its prison and escape into the main universe.

Description[]

The exterior of Invictus's prison is depicted as a huge mass of pink energy tethered to multiple black holes that act as the entrances and exits to the prison. The interior of the prison, containing Invictus' true form, is that of a purple spacescape filled with tangled bramble of veins attached to a giant, pink, unblinking eye with a pitch black pupil that contained Invictus' physical form.
