Rug Yorkvain was a professional pilot and racer seen in "The Toro Regatta".
Rug has gone through multiple names and aliases in his career. According to Clarence, they are Chag Murphblick, Crix Bangdag, Hox Ringscreckai, and Tim White. It is unknown which, if any, of these is his real name. While he looks like a male human, he is actually a robot.
Biography[]
Rug is one of the four contestants participating in the Toro Regatta, with his ship, the Starchaser. He is in the posession of an artifact named the Nymerian Cube, which Clarence hopes to steal from him during the race since the cube is normally too well guarded.
During the race, he attempts to shoot down the Crimson Light, but Fox and Little Cato disable the cannosn on his ship. Rug thus engages Drop Drive, and the Crimson Light follows. While in Drop Drive, Gary and Ash Graven board his ship, but Rug was prepared for this and blows up the Starchaser, while he himself jumps on the Crimson Light with the intend to highjack it. Gary jumps after him, and after a brief fight, accidentally knocks Rug's head off, thus revealing Rug to be a robot.
Trivia[]
- In "The Notorious Mrs. Goodspeed", Rug's head can be briefly seen among the stuff Mooncake has eaten and subsequently spat out again.
- In "The Remembered", Rug's head can be briefly seen on the junk trolley that Clarence is pushing. This suggests there is some history between Clarence and Rug.
