The S.A.M.E.S. (Synthetic Artificial Masses Erecting Safeness) are a group of identical robots aboard the Galaxy One. They serve as a defense force for the ship, as well as perform maintenance.
They are recurring characters throughout Season 1, but the ones assigned to the Galaxy One are all destroyed as of Season 2.
Features[]
All S.A.M.E.S. are humanoid robots with blue heads, hands and feet, a white torso, grey arms and legs and red crotch. They all talk with the same voice with the exception of Rob who has a Scottish accent.
They are armed with flamethrowers, laser guns, and swords, all built into their arms.
When security protocol is activated, and the S.A.M.E.S. are ordered to fight, their eyes glow with red light.
In "Chapter 10", three S.A.M.E.S. are revealed to have the ability to fly. It is unknown if all S.A.M.E.S. can do this, or only these three since they modified themselves for combat in "Chapter 9".
Notable S.a.m.e.s.[]
Due to his loneliness aboard the Galaxy One, Gary decided to name a few S.A.M.E.S. by writing names on their foreheads:
- Hank
- Boobs
- Carl
- Rob
- Orson
- Noodles
They hardly ever listen to these names however.
Quotes and catchphrases[]

TriviA[]
- Gary's robotic arm once belonged to a S.A.M.E..
- Despite being tasked with defending the Galaxy One, they are quite inefficient when it comes to actual combat. Rarely do they manage to defeat an opponent.
- After his destruction, Carl's head was turned into a flower pot by Fox. The head can be seen as such on board the Crimson Light.
- "Chapter 8" shows that John Goodspeed also had several S.A.M.E.S. on board his ship during his last mission, and in "The Toro Regatta" Rug Yorkvain has S.A.M.E.S. in his crew. This means they are not unique to the Galaxy One, but standard equipment for (Earth) spaceships.
