- “I FOUND YOU. BEND AND BECOME VOICELESS.”
- ―Invictus commands the Zombie Garys
The Zombie Garys are a legion of deceased counterparts of Gary Goodspeed from alternative dimensions who were possessed by Invictus in an attempt to kill the Team Squad and are major antagonists in Season 3.
They are voiced by Vanessa Marshall.
History[]
Backstory[]
All of the Zombie Garys were alternate versions of Gary Goodspeed from many different timelines. In almost every timeline, the Garys sacrificed their lives to close the breach in Final Space, resulting in them being killed by the anti-matter bomb, and their horrifically scarred corpses were left to float & rot within Quinn's prison.
Season 2[]
In "The Closer You Get" and "The Sixth Key", their decaying and mutilated corpses can be seen floating inside of Quinn's prison, which confirms Nightfall's claim that in all timelines, it was always Gary who closed the breach.
Season 3[]
In "...And Into The Fire", one month after the Team Squad rescued Quinn Ergon from her prison, Invictus possessed the corpses of all the dead Garys and used them to attack the Team Squad. The Gary Zombies pursued the Team Squad all the way into a cave system, until the planet they were on was destroyed due to the escalating battle between Bolo, Mooncake, and the Lizard Titan, sending many of the Zombie Garys out into space, although they were far from dealt with.
In "Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge Rising", Invictus uses a Zombie Gary as a vessel and attacks the Lord Commander over his repeated failures to capture Mooncake. After reprimanding him, Invictus tells Lord Commander that the Team Squad are heading to Earth in order to activate the Hyper-Transdimensional Bridge, having sensed Ash's energy towards that location.
In "Until the Sky Falls", Invictus launches a full-scale invasion of Earth and sends an army of Zombie Garys to attack Bolo and the rest of the Team Squad in Wisconsin and London.
In "The Dead Speak", a horde of Zombie Garys attack and invade the Dragonhawk 5 in an attempt to destroy the ship, kill the Team Squad, and corrupt Ash, but the hoard is driven off by the combined efforts of the crew. Ash purges Invictus from the body of a Gary - who provides his sequence of events leading to the present, but expires shortly after.
In "The Devil's Den", Invictus summons a hoard of Zombie Garys to deal with Gary and Avocato. However, the army of Zombie Garys are effortlessly wiped out by the Lord Commander, killing them all before they could do anything.
Appearance[]
The Zombie Garys appear as undead, zombie-like versions of the Gary Goodspeed from the mainstream timeline. They have discolored skin, rotten flesh, and heavily mangled bodies, with some of them missing entire body parts such as eyes, arms, legs, etc. Since they are under the influence of Invictus, their eyes glow a bright pink color. While most Zombie Garys are seen wearing Gary's casual clothes, many of them can be seen wearing Infinity Guard outfits or Gary's Galaxy One prison outfit, and several Zombie Garys can be seen lacking a robot arm, meaning that Lord Commander didn't tear Gary's arm off in their timeline. While possessed, they speak in Invictus' voice.

Trivia[]
- According to Olan Rogers, each and every Zombie Gary has a backstory that will be explored in Season 3. This came to a head in The Dead Speak, where one of the undead Garys explains the events leading to his death after being purged by Ash.
- One of the Gary Zombies bears a striking visual resemblance to the Gary Goodspeed from Nightfall's timeline.
- However, it is unknown if he is the same Gary, or merely a different Gary with the same Infinity Guard outfit.
